Fretz® F-2 Specialized Miniature Double-Convex Forming Stake

This specially designed miniature double-convex forming stake from Fretz® expands your forming and shaping capabilities to create domes in a scale appropriate for jewelry and small sculptural pieces. The large end of the stake produces bold, curved shapes; the smaller end creates smaller, radius shapes. During the forming process, the stake supports the metal while it is shaped directly with a hammer. The diameter of the stake and the sharpness of the curves let you control the shape of the metal. Designed by Bill Fretz, miniature stakes are specially created for smaller-scale shaping and forming such as rings, bezels and small vessels that can be difficult to make using full-sized stakes. The shapes and sizes of these stakes allow you to precisely shape smaller bezels for rings, bracelets and pendants by stretching the metal to form curves, cups and rims.
